Marianne Walter-Meaby has been working in the interior design industry since 1996.  In that time she has developed    a solid reputation, gained valuable experience and understanding of the interior design world, and built up a reliable team of architects, builders and craftsmen.

She studied textile design at Leeds University, and spent her second year in Hong Kong where her enthusiasm for interior design developed.  Her formal interior design training came from a diploma course at KLC School of Design, with whom she still keeps in good contact. At the beginning of her career she also learned valuable lessons and gained a wealth of knowledge when working with Lady Henrietta Spencer-Churchill and Todhunter Earle Interiors.

Marianne’s flair and originality is inherited from her Anglo Swedish roots.  This upbringing, combined with a good academic design background, has given her an excellent understanding of proportion, scale and colour, as well as sympathy for both contemporary uncluttered interiors and traditional classic interiors.

She works on both residential and commercial projects, and manages to meet the most demanding of deadlines.    Her easy, friendly manner, commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail, has helped her to build a loyal client base.  The majority of her work now comes through personal recommendation.

Whether in London, the country or abroad the interiors that Marianne designs feel as though they have evolved over time.  She always makes sure that she gets to know her clients personality and lifestyle so that she can create an individual design, as she appreciates that they have to live with the interiors that she designs for a very long time.

Marianne’s past projects include:  a cottage in Devon; country houses in Oxfordshire, Surrey and Wiltshire; town houses in Clapham, Fulham, Islington, Kensington, Maida Vale and Notting Hill; apartments in Chelsea, Holland Park, Mayfair, Notting Hill, Kensington and Miami; the communal areas of an apartment block in Knightsbridge and an office in Holborn.  As well as several single room projects in both apartments and houses in London.
